INHARMONY'S MOLLY BROWN
Ch. Windstar's Justin Time CGN x Inharmony's Pema Born June 15, 2010
To: Molly's Pedigree
I honestly wasn't intending on keeping Molly - but the right home never appeared for this vivacious black/white girl. In reality, it took me a long time to realize the right home for her was at Inharmony. I am very particular where my puppies go and when looking for placements, I also must consider what is right for the puppy first. Molly has really fascinated me and those who know her well. She is absolutely brilliant with an extremely strong desire to learn and work. Her energy level is high and she is very similar to Pema in many ways. She'd never be suitable for a typical family home as she is a dog who must be worked - physically and mentally. With this family of pups, they benefited from my time at home and have received hours and hours of professional training. The cues, skills, and vocabulary that Molly, Kadence, and brother Kain have learned in their first eight months is impressive! Foundations of learning have been laid for any activity possible including sledding, conformation work, obedience, work, and even assistance dog work. The earliest indication that Molly was exceptionally intelligent was at 5 weeks of age (photo to left) with her very direct questioning look in her eyes. Molly and Kadence are best of buddies. Molly is spayed as Kadence has the qualities that I want in a breeding bitch. Molly really is a working girl and will excel at anything she is channeled toward. 14 weeks old Some of the behaviors are: Wave (left) Weaving (right) Molly does everything at full speed. She learns extremely quickly, moves very quickly, and has so much energy that on stays or waits, she just wiggles in place.
Watching Molly puzzle out the cues of "Go Paw Touch" was fascinating. It is on the DVD of "Happy Dogs with Benevolent Leaders".
Molly has also learned that retrieving anything indicated is fun! In this photo, she's retrieving a metal can.

. The first snow fall of the year cooincided with the 5th month birthday of the pups. Check out the new picture of momma Pema on her page to the pic of Molly on the right. Molly contines to enjoy her lessons.
Molly (6 mo) shows her trademark concentration as we work on a new skill. Photo taken from video.
7 month old Molly & Kadence enjoy the deep snow.
One big challenge with having super smart pups is that they are always looking for new things to do and experience. Molly and Kadence are on the top of the 10 foot mini-shelter. Pups are 8 months old.
Molly loves jumping! She has beautiful form.
Molly blasts up the cross-over and readies to turn 'gee.'
At Rally-O practice in the summer. Wearing the halter helped Molly retain focus as she is very aware of her surroundings.
Working at Advanced Position Play - this 'game' is great for thinking dogs such as Molly - as the cues change a lot.
March 2012. With a frustrating year for sledding - snow was horrible - Molly's main physical activity was playing with her family. Her self-control is increasing and she has, like Kadence, become a lovely companion inside the house.
June 16, 2012. Molly just turned 2 years old and shows it in her immature development. She is also out of coat and
very
fit
"I can also play 'Show Dog' like my sister!"
I love her natural and correct stance.
Best Altered Dog in Match.
Happy Dog with big waving tail! >
Molly in her pretty lady pose.
Dec 2012. Molly (front) and Kadence playing. Molly is very enthusiastic in everything she does. She is also really enjoying working beside her sister in harness.
November 2013. Molly at 3 1/2 yrs. is equally happy outside in the fresh snow or enjoying house privileges.
Molly has kept her very intense look (that I recognized when she was 5 weeks of age) when she's puzzling out something... in this case what I was trying to communicate to her
.
A moment later, she responds with a relaxed but confident look in her eyes....... That's my Molls-y!
"Happiness is a new playmate."
Molly & her nephew, Oliver .
"Why is Leader so fascinated with that black thing?"
Nov. 2014... 4 1/2 yrs
July 2015. Molly has thoroughly enjoyed picking the saskatoon berries. She frequently stood on her hind legs to get the tasty ones!
Fall 2016. Molly is now 6 yrs and is physically mature. Note the difference in the shape of her head from two years previously (picture above.)
Nov. 2016. 6 yr old Molly is still as active as ever. But her self-control is now very developed. Her favorite place to be in the evenings is squished beside my chair while I do beadwork. Molly enjoys playing with Justin and especially with Oliver. Her friendship with Kadence had dissolved but they still tolerate each other. |
